After 25 years as a mechanical engineer, I built my own pool in 2017.
It was supposed to be a simple backyard project. Instead, it became a revelation.
I loved every part of it the design process, the problem-solving, seeing it come together. But I also saw how broken the industry was. Contractors who didn't show up. Poor communication. Shoddy workmanship. Hidden fees. I kept thinking this doesn't have to be this way.
In 2025, I made it official. I left engineering behind and launched Patriot Pool with a simple mission: bring engineering precision and honest communication to an industry that desperately needs both.
